Message & Method

What a campaign says, and how it runs

Message and Method makes two products for UK campaigns. Intelligence shows what every party is saying and spending online, every morning. Engage.Centre is the platform a local campaign runs on: a workspace for organisers, an app for volunteers and the campaign's own website.

Message & Method Intelligence

What every party is saying and spending, every morning

Intelligence reads the public ad libraries each day and turns them into a short, neutral briefing: what's new, what stopped, who is spending, and which seats they are aiming at. Every figure is linked back to its source, and anything estimated is labelled as an estimate.

Engage.Centre

One platform for the whole local campaign

Engage.Centre brings a campaign's voter data, volunteers and website together. Every conversation, from the doorstep, the phone or the website, lands on the same record, so organisers can see what to do next without waiting for a developer.

It is white-label: each campaign's apps and website carry its own name and colours.

Planned around target voters

A campaign runs as a sequence of steps, each aimed at the voters who decide the result, with progress, what's behind and the next thing to do.

Plain-English targeting

Organisers describe the voters they want, such as supporters with no postal vote who haven't been spoken to since May. AI drafts the list's definition, and the organiser sees and checks it before it runs.

Mapped to polling district

Voter analysis, canvass coverage and results are mapped down to polling district, so effort goes where it counts.

Every activity in one place

Leaflet rounds, canvassing, phone banks and surveys are planned, run and reported together, and local data is uploaded and checked on the page.

A volunteer app

Volunteers deliver, call, canvass and share from their phone, with walk and call lists ready for them.

The campaign's own website

Campaign pages turn local issues into supporter lists, and joining, membership, events, tickets and donations go straight into the campaign's own records.

Engage.Centre runs on standard cloud services, scales down when a campaign is quiet, and can be introduced alongside an existing national database. Screenshots use sample data; every name is made up.

How we work

Evidence first, and clear about its limits

Neutral

We describe what campaigns are doing and how, for every party alike. We don't take sides or tell readers what to think of a message.

Sourced

Figures come from official transparency libraries and published data, with links back to the source. Where we estimate, we say so and show the range.

Built to be used

Short summaries first, detail one tap away, and pages that work as well on a phone on the way in as on a desk.
